Services We Provide

There are a wide variety of local industry experts and services available accepting referrals from The Empowering People Project and referrals will be made based on the individual’s presenting needs and specific outcome goals.  

Services range from holistic wellbeing sessions, pain management services, fitness and wellbeing professionals, coaching, counselling and therapy to decluttering, cleaning, support with household tasks such as shopping, companionship, support to access the community and social inclusion with trained mental health recovery workers.  


The Empowering People Project also provide grants to those in need. People living with mental illness can apply for grants for items that can enhance their recovery journey. These grants will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and can be used for a variety of reasons such as: 

  • Essentials following a hospital discharge 

  • Items to aid in returning to education or employment  

  • Essential household items/furniture when returning to the community and setting up home.

We Make It Easy to Help Others

We take referrals from both individuals themselves and professionals involved in their care and treatment.  

This support is best suited to individuals living with mild to moderate mental illness, or low-level emotional wellbeing issues.  

Once referred to The Empowering People Project each individual case will be assessed and referred onto the professional/service who best meets their needs, all fees will be met by The Empowering People Project fund.  

Most interventions are time limited at around 4 to 6 weeks or can be a one-off session if appropriate and depending on the nature of condition or service.

Referral Submission

Application process:

  • Please fill in this referral form, be as descriptive in the presenting issues as you can, this helps us best determine which service to sign-post you to.  

  • An Assessment of Need will be carried out via telephone or Zoom, this will be arranged by Email within 1 week of the referral form submission.

  • If for any reason we cannot proceed further, then we will be in touch with more information and advice on where best to seek further help.
